Drink rules are set for a four-hour party and scale with the length you choose. Kids count as half a guest for soft drinks and as none for beer and wine.

Amounts include a 10% cushion, for a 4-hour party indoors. Mains are shown in their first serving style; open a food for the others.

On a hot day outdoors, the ice rule goes up for drinks and coolers. Buy ice the day of the party and keep it in a cooler until you need it.
